Two arrested with Kerala Ganja

A woman and a man were arrested with 1.65 Kgs of Kerala Ganja in their possession.

Police said that a 33-year-old woman is a resident of Magazine Road Borella and the 41-year-old man is a resident of the ‘T Waththa’ area.

The raid was conducted on a tip off received to the OIC of the Colombo South Narcotics Division. On information received from the female suspect, the other suspect was arrested from the Borella ‘T Waththa’ area and 1.65 Kgs of Kerala Ganja seized from his house.

It was further revealed that the seized stock of drugs belonged to a group engaged in large-scale trafficking of Kerala Ganja. The Kerala Ganga stock were each wrapped in 500 g packs.

The arrested woman and man were earlier released on bail in connection with the trafficking of ‘ICE’ and Kerala Ganja.
