Two company directors arrested after seven year probe

The Criminal Investigation Department has arrested two directors employed by a company in connection with a fraud of Rs.8.3 million.

The Criminal Investigation Department states that the two directors are brothers and they are residents of Elibanak Road, Colombo. The two directors are aged 55 and 54.

The Police Media Spokesman’s Office states that the complaint regarding this money fraud was submitted to the Criminal Investigation Department in 2016.

The suspects were arrested on Monday 11 after seven years of investigations regarding the complaint. These two suspects were released on bail after being produced before the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court.
