Two dead in shooting incidents

Two separate shooting incidents were reported yesterday from Panadura and Aluthgama areas. A man was shot and killed in Moragolla, Aluthgama yesterday morning.

Police said the victim was a king coconut vendor. The body of the victim has been placed at the Beruwala Hospital.

Meanwhile, the second shooting incident was reported from Panadura yesterday. The Police said a 31-year-old was shot dead in the Nirmala Mawatha area in Panadura. The victim had been shot dead by an unknown gunman who had arrived on a motorcycle. The cause for the shooting and the identity of the victim is yet to be ascertained.
