Two elephants killed in collision with train

The Parayanakulam Police said that two elephants have been killed in a collision with a train running from Colombo to Talaimannar.

The accident took place in the area between the Settikulam and Madhu railway stations.

According to the police, the accident took place on Wednesday (25) between 9.30 and 10.00 pm. Two wild elephants aged 17 and 25 died in the collision.
