Two foreigners with forged UAE passports nabbed at BIA

A 36-year-old Chad national and a 39-year-old Yemeni, both men, who attempted to enter Sri Lanka using forged UAE passports, were arrested by Immigration officials on arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) yesterday.

The men were handed over to the airline from which they arrived for deportation.

Immigration officials at the airport had detected that both the foreigners possessed forged UAE travel documents, and valid passports issued by their respective countries. In addition, a flight ticket to Belgium was found in the mobile phone of the Yemeni national.
