Two school students who broke into the office rooms of Mundalama Sinhala Maha Vidyalaya and Primary School and stole over Rs. 800,000 worth of property, including computers, were arrested by Mundalama Police officers yesterday.
Police said that the two students are Grade 10 students of Mundalama Sinhala Maha Vidyalaya.
Based on the information revealed by the students, part of the stolen items from the two schools has been recovered.
Police said that the students had broken into the schools on two previous occasions as well in search of money and had also damaged property.
The two students also confessed to Police that they were planning to rob shops and houses, wearing thieves’ garb. They are to be produced before Court.
