Two held with 40 live bullets

The Eppawala Police said they arrested two suspects with 40 foreign-made live bullets. A group of Police officers who were at a security checkpoint at Nallamudawa junction in Eppawala arrested a suspect, a resident of the Mahailuppallam area, with a stock of live ammunition.

During questioning, the suspect had told the Police a resident of Ragama had given him the bullets to be sold. A Police team dispatched to Ragama arrested the second suspect. The suspects are to be produced in Court. Police investigations are ongoing.
