Two Lankans for Asia Cup Motorcycle Championship
Nipun Dilanka and Sabir Mimshad will represent Sri Lanka in the FIM Asia Cup road Championship, which is the world’s oldest motorcycle racing series. The tournament, which will be held in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand, will be held in three rounds. The second round will be held in Taiwan and the third round will be held in the Philippines.
The opening round of the race will be divided into two parts with the first round starting today and the second round on September 3.
Japan, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Nepal, Taiwan, China and Sri Lanka are participating in the tournament.
The uniqueness of this tournament is that even though the winners are given trophies, the points scored by the country are very important for the upcoming international events.
