Two men released on Rs.100,000 bail

Kurunegala Additional Magistrate Kosala Bandara Illangasinghe released on bail two men arrested for the possession of counterfeit currency yesterday. Bail was set at Rs.50,000 each.

The duo had been taken into custody after the owner of a jewellery shop alerted the police when they had attempted to change a counterfeit Rs.5,000 note. Investigations are continuing.
