UAE, Sri Lanka sign MoU to enhance cooperation in civil aviation
A delegation from the United Arab Emirates, headed by General Civil Aviation Authority of UAE Director General Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, visited Sri Lanka and held talks with their counterparts, the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka, in Colombo.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the United Arab Emirates and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka was signed with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations in the field of civil aviation. The MoU provides for opening of air spaces and lifting restrictions on the national carriers of the two countries, including the exercise of the Freedoms of the Air. The event was attended by UAE’s Ambassador in Colombo Khaled Nasser AlAmiri and officials representing the local civil aviation authorities and national carriers of both countries.
