UNFAO – Asia Pacific Regional Conference to be held here in 2024

The 37th Asia Pacific Regional Conference of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization will be held in Sri Lanka next February.

Agriculture Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said that the Cabinet has given approval to the Cabinet Paper he submitted to get the approval of the Cabinet for the State sponsorship of this conference in our country.

The minister instructed the ministry officials to arrange for the ‘UNFAO – Asia Pacific Regional Conference’ to be held in our country.

The minister also mentioned that more than 2,000 delegates from 44 countries are expected to participate in this conference.
