UNP to participate in APC

United National Party (UNP) Deputy Leader Akila Viraj Kariyawasam yesterday said that former Prime Minister and UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe will participate in the All-Party Conference.

Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said that former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe was participating in the conference from the standpoint that action should be taken at this moment to resolve the national crisis facing the country.

Responding to a question asked by journalists, held at the Sirikotha UNP headquarters yesterday (21) in relation to a number of Opposition parties stating that they will boycott the All-Party Conference, the UNP Deputy Leader said that decisions made by other parties are irrelevant to the UNP.
