Uva Province Badminton from January 12 to 18

Uva Provincial Open Badminton Championship hosted by the Uva Province Badminton Association under the supervision of the Sri Lanka Badminton (SLB) scheduled to take place from January 12 to 18 at St. Thomas’ College Indoor Badminton Stadium, Bandarawela.

Uva Province Open Badminton Championship welcomes participants across various categories and this event will see competitions conducted under the Open, Senior, and Junior age groups. Juniors can compete in age groups of under-11,13, 15, 17, and 19 boys and girls singles and doubles events. Meanwhile, the senior category offers Men’s and Women’s Singles and Doubles, along with Mixed Doubles across various age brackets, including Over 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, and 70. The entries are already open for this championship which is more important for the shuttlers as this is a ranking tournament which is going to be the first one of the new year.

The winners and runners up will receive cash awards and trophies as well as certificates and the event is sponsored by Mcfoil.
