Vandasay bowls to pick Tamil Union L/O title

Tamil Union led by Sadeera Samarawickrama recorded 36 runs victory over defending runners up Ragama CC to take the Major Clubs limited over cricket champion title at the final game played at P.Sara Oval grounds yesterday.

If was superb bowling performance by leg spinner Jeffrey Vandasay who took five for 27 in 7.4 overs spell paved the way to get this victory.

Tamil Union made 181 for nine wickets in their 50 overs with Supun Kavinda 41 and Santhush Gunathileka 47.Ragama CC managed to get 145 in 32.4 overs. Vandasay was adjudged Man of the Final.

Chintaka Edirimanne the Head of Domestic Cricket SLC and tournament committee chairman Samantha Dodamwela gave away the awards.
