Washington Buddhist Vihara Katina ceremony held

The Washington Buddhist Vihara Society celebrated the Annual Katina Ceremony (Katina Robe offering ceremony) at Washington Buddhist Vihara on October 22. Chief Prelate of Canada Most Ven. Pannaloka Maha Thera, President of the Washington Buddhist Society Ven. Maharagama Dhammasiri Thera and the resident monks observed Vassa at the Vihara this year.

Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to the USA Mahinda Samarasinghe, staff members and their families also participated in the pooja along with members of the Sri Lankan community and devotees from Vietnam, Thailand, Bangladesh and Myanmar in the Washington Metropolitan area.
