We lost to Canada after a close battle, says Prasadi

We lost to Canada game after a fight 46-50 in the opening game of Nation Cup Netball tournament in Singapore but it was good exposure and players got confidence to go forward said Sri Lankan head coach P.D.N Prasadi after the match in an exclusive interview with Daily News yesterday We had very close battle with Canadians team which is coached by former Australia coach Gill Micintos.

We for the first time played without top shooters Tharjini Shivalingam and Thisala Algama and our players not having practice to re bound the ball and they wanted to to get more match exposure to adjust we have to play strong Singapore A team but we planning to to beat them said Prasadi the head coach of the Sri Lanka team .

We had good training sessions here in Singapore while our team is having good confidence and wanted to reach the final .Cook Islands and Papua New Guinea also very strong teams and playing with them we can get good exposure which is very vital for our next Asia Cup.

In my view we have to play more international tournaments like this and want to make good team with good fitness .I have done my service as Assistant coach to Sri Lanka team earlier and this is the first time as a head coach said Prasadi .

Sri Lanka were due to play against Singapore yesterday evening .
