Weapons seized post Easter Sunday attacks sunk offshore
A stockpile of weapons seized by Security personnel, in the aftermath of the Easter Sunday attacks, was yesterday (21) sunk at a distance of 100 nautical miles offshore and at a depth of 1000 feet from the Galle Ranwala Naval Base, under the supervision of Colombo Additional Magistrate Pasan Amarasinghe. The weapons included 1,000 swords, a stock of daggers and pointed weapons, eight guns and 10 ‘Gal Kattas’.
