Health Minister Dr. Keheliya Rambukwella on Tuesday held a discussion with World Health Organization’s (WHO) Resident Representative Dr. Alaka Singh, to establish an international laboratory for testing the quality
of medicines in Sri Lanka. According to the success of these discussions, an international laboratory of Benchmark level 4, is to be built.
The President has also paid close attention in this regard and the Health Minister said that it is a priority to make provision for such works. Dr. Alaka Singh said that the World Health Organization will provide all necessary support to the country for the construction of an international level laboratory to test medicine.
