Windies Cricket Academy wins in Bangalore
Windies Cricket Academy in Matale performed well in Banglore, India when they clinched both under 12 and under 15 cricket tournaments titles recently at the YISA Tournament in Bangalore.
In Under 12 tournament Windies have won three out of three and under 15 tournament they won two out of three. Both skippers Rashintha Dilshan of St.Thomas’ College Matale and Achintha Pahan Danitha from Chandrananda Buddhist College Kandy led from the front to become champions of the Tournament.
The Windies CA Players were awarded with many Individual awards and this tournaments was Organized by the tournament Director of Youth International Sports Academy the former Karnataka state player and the Management Trustee of YISA R.Srinivasan. Most of the individual awards were won by Windies Cricket Academy cricketers of both under 12 and under 15 age groups.
The opportunity has paved the way to develop the boys’ Skills and shared the experience said Windies cricket Academy Director Ravi Punchihewa. Especially the exposure of playing with overseas players is more important at this age level.
