Woman ends life after convocation

A woman who graduated from the Sabaragamuwa University has committed suicide after returning to her home after the graduation ceremony last Saturday (29). The girl aged 27 was a resident of Vadukkodai Sashipuram area in Jaffna.

The woman’s mother and father live separately due to a family dispute and the young woman had taken both her parents to the graduation ceremony.

After all of them returned, she committed suicide at her home after suffering a severe mental shock due to the family quarrels escalating again. The body of the deceased girl has been handed over to the Vadukkodai Hospital by the Vadukkodai Police.
