Woman’s death on mountain: JMO to submit report in two weeks
The Lindula Police said that handing over post-mortem report of the Judicial Medical Officer regarding the unidentified woman’s body found on the summit of the Great Western mountain,
in Talawakelle will be done in two weeks.
The JMO autopsy of the woman was conducted at the Nuwara Eliya District General Hospital day before yesterday (3) evening.
According to the Lindula Police, Nuwara Eliya General Hospital JMO Dr.Chaminda Gunathilaka, who conducted the post-mortem there, will provide the post- mortem reports after two weeks as the body parts of the deceased woman need to be further examined.
Police said that the deceased woman could be between 40 to 45 years and that during the autopsy it was revealed that there was a tattoo on left wrist stating ‘Madushanka.’
Police expect public help to identify this woman and the Lindula Police request people to inform them or the nearest police station if they have any information regarding the deceased.
