World Agro-forestry (ICRAF) Chief meets Environmental Ministry Secretary
The head of the World Agro-forestry (ICRAF) Institute, a world-renowned environmental organization based in Nairobi, Kenya, Dr. Fergus Sinclair had a meeting with the Secretary to the Ministry of Environment Dr. Anil Jasinghe today (14) at the Ministry of Environment.
World Agro-forestry (ICRAF) is an international organization currently involved to apply the project design and implementation of climate financing. They also discussed the sharing of knowledge and experience of their organization in the implementation of environmental projects in Sri Lanka.
Dr. Anil Jasinghe, Secretary to the Ministry of Environment also spoke. He also spoke about the environmental protection of Sri Lanka as well as the measures being taken by the Ministry of Environment to tackle climate change.
World Forestry has also contributed to the successful implementation of Knuckles related environmental projects in Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, they have also been taken to sign a Host Country Agreement with Sri Lanka.
