World Photography Day 2023 celebrated with pomp

World Photography Day 2023, which fell on August 19, was celebrated on a grand scale on the theme “Landscapes”, at the Silver Ray Banquet Hall in Ratnapura.

Sabaragamuwa Province Governor Navin Dissanayake presided at the event, with Department of Registration of Persons Commissioner General Pradeep Haputhanthri in attendance.

More than 700 people representing the 25 districts of Sri Lanka, participated in the event, which was held after seven years. All Island Professional Photographers’ Association, Ratnapura branch, organised the event.

First Reuter Photographer of Sri Lanka, Presidential Photographer and former President of State Photographers’ Advisory Council, Prasanna Hennayaka was the Guest Speaker at the event.
