Would have become a pilot, if not involved in politics – Sajith

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa yesterday said he would have become a pilot, if he did not get involved in politics. 

“My ambition was to become a pilot at that time. A pilot should ensure the protection of the passengers on board all times,” he said.

He said that there are number of instances where pilots have managed to ensure the safety of the passengers of the passengers and the airbus during an emergency. He was speaking at a public rally yesterday.

“As pilot the leader of the country should take every possible effort to ensure the safety and well-being of the people,” he said.

The Opposition said that they have a responsibility of bring the country out of indebtedness and ensure the well being of the public. The responsibility of the pilots and the leaders of the country are same.
