Young woman dies at wedding

A 25-year-old woman who was dancing at a wedding died after being taken ill there, Moragahahena Police said.

The deceased has been identified as Manjari Aditya Fernando, who was working as a sales executive in a private company in Horana. She was a resident of Meegoda.

The young woman had attended the wedding of one of her colleagues, at a hotel in Horana, Gonapola.

She had suddenly been taken ill and had been rushed to the Horana Hospital where she had been pronounced dead.

According to the post-mortem examination death had occurred due to food getting stuck in the respiratory tract, as a result of heart failure. The Police are investigating the incident.
