Zahira Super 16 Soccer Sevens from September 9

The eagerly awaited NOLIMIT-sponsored 17th Zahira Super 16 Soccer 7s 2023 is poised to kick off at the Colombo Racecourse, with the opening match scheduled for September 9.

Organized by the Past Prefects Association of Zahira College Colombo, who are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, the tournament is set to feature an exciting addition. In conjunction with the main Under-19 event, a parallel junior Under-12 Super 8 tournament will captivate young football enthusiasts.

Zahira, the reigning champions, will spearhead Group A, while Darussalaam, last year’s runners-up, will lead Group D. Royal and St. Benedict’s, who secured third and fourth places respectively in the previous edition, will dominate Groups B and C.

The playing field will be compact, designed for the fast-paced and exhilarating seven-a-side format, promising a thrilling spectacle for a diverse audience.

Group A: Zahira College, Isipathana College, Alethea International School, Zahira College Gampola

Group B: Royal College, T.B. Jayah Zahira College, De Mazenod College, Jaffna Central College

Group C: St. Benedict’s College, S. Thomas’ College Mt. Lavinia, St. Joseph’s College, Al Hikma College

Group D: Darussalam College, Maris Stella College Gateway College, Lyceum International School, Nugegoda U-12 Junior Super 8 Category
