Zarrjun Aboobuker appointed Tourism Bureau Director

Zarrjun Aboobuker has been appointed as a Director of Tourism Bureau in the Eastern Province, he received his letter of appointment from the Governor of the Eastern Province Senthil Thondaman, recently, at the Governor office in Trincomalee.

He joined as a Business Development Manager at Abans PLC, at a young age of 25, prior to his appointment to the Former Chief Minister of Eastern Province as Vice Chairman and Head of Business Development in the Eastern Province Tourism Bureau. He also served as Co-ordinating Secretary to the State Ministry of Health and Nutrition in Colombo.

Zarrjun served as Director Management of Sri Lanka Convention Bureau, at the Ministry of Tourism Development Wildlife and Christian Affairs in 2019 and held several posts at the Ministry of Sport, Director Board of Management, at the Sugathadasa National Sport Complex Authorities.

He was appointed as a Project Co-ordinator to Former Prime Minister, Mahinda Rajapaksa under the ICTA Nanasala E-Library Project in the Eastern Province.

Zarrjun received his Higher studies in the Hotel Management and Tourism field, at Australian Higher Institution.

He successfully completed his Master of Arts and International Relation with first class honors at the Bet Campus Technological University.
