Zayed Foundation with Embassy of UAE in distributing 950 food hampers to support Muslim families
The Zayed Foundation, a prominent Charity Organization governed by Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, joined hands with the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Sri Lanka to distribute 950 food hampers containing dry rations to economically impoverished households in the Puttalam and Batticaloa Districts recently.

This compassionate initiative aimed to support Muslim families in their fasting endeavours, ensuring they could observe their fast without facing undue difficulty.
The Care Lanka Initiative, a renowned Humanitarian Organization collaborating closely with numerous international and local NGOs, diligently works to assist marginalized and vulnerable groups, irrespective of their religious or ethnic affiliations. Under the esteemed guidance of Khaled Nasser Al Ameri, the Ambassador for Sri Lanka and Maldives, the organization has successfully implemented its programme.
It’s worth mentioning that, in the past year, ‘Care Lanka Initiative’, in collaboration with the UAE Embassy, partnered with relevant government agencies to identify three districts Colombo, Gampaha, and Kurunegala. Together, they provided Rs. 9,000 worth of food packets to 400 malnourished schoolchildren under the ‘One Billion Meals’ programme initiated by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. This programme stands as one of the largest humanitarian food drives, delivering sustainable food aid to 50 countries worldwide.
The hallmark of the Care Lanka Initiative lies in its unwavering commitment to tirelessly serve Sri Lanka through humanitarian assistance and engagement in developmental initiatives, all aimed at advancing the cause of humanity.
