UN Vesak Festival 2024 in Sri Lanka – Minister

Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs Minister Vidura Wickremanayake stated that the Government

has decided to hold the United Nations Vesak festival in Sri Lanka in 2024.

The Minister said this while participating in the ceremony held at Sri Lanka Ramanna Maha Nikaya headquarters in Narahenpita, Colombo, where the Sri Lanka Ramanna Maha Nikaya conferred the honorary title of “Lokathachari Sanghasobhana Lankabhimita Dhammaghosha” on the head of the Baolian Zen Temple in Shujian Province, China, Ven.She Wu Yang.
