New CEO appointed for NMRA

Senior Scientist D D Bulathsinhala has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA).

He replaces Dr. Vijith Gunasekera on a temporary basis.

Yesterday National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Vijith Gunasekara was removed from his position.

Health Ministry Secretary S. Janaka Chandraguptha said that based on a decision made by the NMRA Board of Directors, Dr. Vijith Gunasekara had been removed from the position of Director General and CEO of NMRA.
