The National Health Research Symposium – NHRS 2023 will be inaugurated by Health and Industry Minister Dr. Ramesh Pathirana at Water’s Edge, Battaramulla on Monday (13).
The NHRS 2023 is a crucial and timely endeavour driven by the Education, Training, and Research Unit of the Health Ministry to address pressing healthcare research needs. The symposium will end on Tuesday (14).
NHRS welcomed participation from all healthcare professionals, fostering an inclusive environment. This inclusivity resulted in a diverse array of research contributions, spanning various disciplines, including multi-disciplinary, trans-disciplinary, and inter-disciplinary realms. This diversity in research perspectives and approaches enriched the symposium, creating a platform for the exchange of knowledge and ideas across a wide spectrum of healthcare-related fields and specialities.
The symposium serves as a recurring event in the Health Ministry’s calendar, reflecting its commitment to fostering research and innovation within the healthcare sector. The NHRS 2023 had multi-faceted objectives, including promoting research culture, facilitating collaboration and communication, enhancing competencies, and aligning research efforts with national priorities in the healthcare field. Over 200 scientific papers will be presented by healthcare workers of different categories and disciplines during the event.
Authors will present their findings of research work as digital posters and oral presentations. Oral presentations will be presented during the symposium in 24 sessions categorized based on the themes. In addition to the scientific sessions, there will be several guest speeches on emerging and timely health topics.
